As
I started promoting more products through my sites and mailing lists,
the affiliate commission checks started flowing more and more
frequently. I was thrilled until I tried to track my revenue. When I
went from promoting a half dozen products to 100 products, and started
getting commission checks several times a week, I began to have many
important questions. I wanted to know:
-
Which
products were generating the most revenue?
-
How
much was I earning per month, quarter and annually?
-
Who
were my contacts at each affiliate program?
-
What
were my logins and passwords for each product?
-
Who
were my sub-affiliates and who were producers?
As
the questions started growing, I knew I had to do something. First I
tried creating the world's most complicated Microsoft Excel
spreadsheet. While the data entry was no biggie, I really wasn't able
to easily answer my marketing questions.
I
scoured the Internet for a solution. I found many products that will
track your affiliate link click-throughs, but those systems can't
track your revenue because they don't know if the sale went through or
if it was abandoned. You first need to login into the individual
affiliate management systems to get your actual click-throughs and
sales commission stats.
I
also found several tools that can download your Clickbank
and PayPal
data, but they are a mixed bag when it comes to sales analysis.
Garbage in, garbage out. So I put on my thinking cap, and started to
design a tool that could help me organize and analyze all of my
affiliate marketing sales commissions easier. And that's how My
Affiliate Marketing Manager was born.
What
Quicken does for your checkbook, My
Affiliate Marketing Manager will do for your revenue! This is
no simple flat file database. It's a powerful relational database
